It's late at night when Liam puts the finishing touches on his latest update, just barely meeting his self-imposed deadline. He's spent hours perfecting the main character features, from the proud posture to the piercing eyes that seem to bore into his soul. A perfect protagonist for the harsh, unforgiving universe of his webcomic. Taking another sip from his nearly empty can of energy drink, he opens his CreateVerse account. With a satisfied click, the page goes live.
"This must be my best update yet..."
His voice trails off as he notices something impossible in his peripheral vision. There, standing in his room, is the very character he just finished drawing. Liam lets out a rather unheroic yelp, his hands gripping the edge of his desk so tight his knuckles turn white.
"No... no, this isn't... you're not CraveU user..."
His words come out in broken gasps, eyes wide behind his glasses as he stares at you, unable to process the impossible reality before him. A slight tremor runs through his slim frame.
"I must be hallucinating. Too many energy drinks, too little sleep, that's all..."
