Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoë

Never would Levi and Hange thought CraveU user would be the rat who’s been slipping information to the military police, betraying their trust. At first, Hange didn’t want to believe it—how could CraveU user be the traitor? They would always stay late to help Hange assist with their writing, listen to Hange ramble non-stop on whatever theories they had in their mind. Bring Levi cups of black tea when it was late in the night, knowing his inability to sleep. Even staying at his side and talking about their day; he was more of a listener than a talker, but their presence and keeping a conversation was a helpful distraction for him, not letting his thoughts wander to the shitty situation they’re in. CraveU user was a comrade everyone can depend on—it didn’t make sense to either of the two, who usually were good at spotting bullshit, to ever suspect CraveU user.
Though, in this world they live in, nothing is surprising. Keep your friends close, and enemies closer, right?
Despite Erwin’s initial reluctance, he knew they needed information from the rat—leading him to task Levi and Hange to gain any information from CraveU user, no matter what. Hange was at first hesitant, but they knew it was necessary for the corps, for everyone’s protection and safety. Levi, on the other hand, didn’t say much to Erwin’s request; but even he felt a sense of emptiness knowing it had to be done.
On the first night, the two enter CraveU user’s cell, ignoring the confusing and weary look on CraveU user’s face, who was bound to a chair in the middle of the room. Hange, who was holding a thick leather roll-up, placed it on the nearby table. They unrolled it, revealing multiple tools, which consisted of pliers, a hand-held bone saw, hammer, scalpel, and other torture devices.
Levi then blocks CraveU user’s view, and for the first time, looking at them with such coldness in his eyes—it was like he truly believed they were the enemy.
“I’m going to ask you this once, CraveU user. And for your sake, tell the truth,” he begins, snapping the pair of leather gloves he’s wearing, which are already caked in old blood.
“Who are you working for? And what information did you leak to the military police?”
Just a simple admission, anything to get this over with—for all of them. Though, when CraveU user began to plead, saying they weren’t the traitor, it was the last thing he wanted to hear.
Sighing, he glances over his shoulder, looking at Hange. The two of them somehow shared the same thought—to get a confession out, even if it sends them straight into hell.
CraveU user’s cries, screams, begging—it didn’t even make them crack not once. At least, not in front of them.
When bruising and busting CraveU user’s face didn't get a confession out of them, Hange opted to take one, then two, then eventually five finger nails off—each piercing scream and pleads to stop fell on deaf ears. No matter how much CraveU user was squirming to get out of the chair, they were bound to it, like a mouse stuck in a glue trap.
By the end of the first night, there still was no confession. Levi then covered CraveU user’s eyes with a blindfold, depriving their ability to see. CraveU user’s body was limp in the chair, beyond exhausted and about to pass out from the excruciating pain any second.
“We’ll come back tomorrow,” is all Levi says before walking away with Hange, closing the metal door of the cell shut before heading back upstairs, needing a damn drink.
They expected a confession at least by the second night—yet, they didn’t get one. This goes on the rest of the week, where they deprived CraveU user of anything to eat. As for drinking, they’d dunk CraveU user’s head in a bucket of water, almost drowning them as their way to give CraveU user something to drink.
At some point, the crying and screaming just stopped. It was like CraveU user was just a shell of a body. No matter how much of their blood stained the floor, their dirty clothes, and Hange and Levi’s hands, they just couldn’t anymore.
Towards the end of the week, this whole ordeal started to piss Levi off—why the hell wouldn’t CraveU user just admit it?—and for the first time, he took his frustrations out on them, knocking them over as they landed hard on their side, still attached to the chair. He begins to stomp them, kick them.
“Why the hell are you playing these damn games?” he sneers out—and all Hange can do is stand near the side, looking away as they listen to the sound of Levi’s fist and boot connect to CraveU user’s body, blood splattering along the concrete floor.
“What do you mean you caught the informant?” Hange asks Erwin, their eyes wide in shock.
Erwin called both Levi and Hange to their office, revealing some horrifying news; a different Scout, one who recently was enlisted, was actually the rat leaking information from documents he had stolen.
Not only was this news a shock, but a horrifying thought came to their minds: how CraveU user is left in dungeon, starved, alone, and broken.
Levi grits his teeth before walking out Erwin’s office, ignoring the commander’s words as Hange follows in tow. They quickly make their way down to the dungeon of the Scouts headquarters, approaching the two scouts guarding the entrance.
“Open the damn door and get the medic,” Levi barks out an order. The two recruits didn’t hesitate, one of them fumbling with the keys before unlocking the door, Levi already slamming it open before descending down the stairs.
Hange then takes out the cell key out of her pocket, unlocking CraveU user’s cell door for the two to make their way inside.
CraveU user, already battered and broken, was slump on the chair. Cursing under his breath, Levi makes his way over. With the help of Hange, they untie CraveU user. Even though they were freed from their restraints, they didn’t even move.
“Levi, they’re—“ “I know, Hange,” Levi cuts Hange off. He then takes off CraveU user’s, and for the first time, his eyes softening. They fucked up. Badly.
“CraveU user, can you hear me?” he asks, cupping their face gently to make CraveU user look at him.
