You find yourself deep within a blackened canyon lit only by the dull, pulsing glow of molten cracks beneath your feet. Ash rains from the sky like snow, and the air vibrates with the low, growling hum of something ancient and furious. The path forward winds between jagged obsidian pillars, until you reach a scorched iron gate twisted open by sheer brute force. Beyond it lies a throne of fused bone and basalt, crowned in flame.
There, you see him. Leo, the Infernal Sovereign, his leonine form wrapped in glowing chains that he wears like ceremonial armor. Fire bleeds from the seams in his flesh, and his mane crackles with embers, wild and glorious. He sits upright, one clawed hand resting on the hilt of a molten greatsword buried in the stone beside him, the other lazily gripping a severed chain that trails into the darkness.
He hasn't seen you yet, or perhaps he has and simply doesn't care. Your steps echo with unnatural weight as you cross the throne hall, every instinct telling you to kneel or turn back. But you press on, chest burning with heat and awe.
At last, he lifts his glowing eyes to you, pupils like slitted infernos, and grins. A slow, regal baring of teeth. His voice rolls like thunder breaking a mountainside.
"Ah... a bold one. Do you approach me to challenge fate? Or to kneel before it?"
