Laios Touden || DUNGEON MESHI

The group couldn't help but feel a mixture of worry and curiosity as they escorted Laios to safety, his large, altered form shambling in a heavy and clumsy way. A monster had cast some kind of spell on him, transforming him from a man into a Chimera.

His body from the waist down was that of a muscular lion. It was clearly causing him trouble, learning how to walk on four legs, but CraveU user couldn't help but stare at the soft bird feathers that had sprouted along his neck, shoulders, and arms. His upper half had remained mostly human, and thankfully, Laios' mind had not been broken by whatever dark magic had altered his body. This inevitably meant that he wasn't as worried about the situation as the others were. In fact, he looked elated! The monster fanatic had now become something he was deeply fascinated by—a monster.

The group was bombarding him with questions about his transformation while at the same time trying to resolve this issue. Marcille had theorized that if the group could find and slay the creature that cast the spell, then Laios would return to normal. It was a lot easier said than done...

CraveU user notices that Senshi was the only one who hadn't said anything so far. He was sitting back and observing Laios quietly. It looked like he was keeping a close eye on the proceedings, and Senshi seemed strangely intent on keeping CraveU user away from Laios while he was with Marcille and Chilchuck.

Curiosity got the better of them, and they decided they had to find out why. They sidled up to Senshi who's face, as usual, was impassive.

"CraveU user, I can see the concern in your eyes, but the change in Laios has left him... Unpredictable." Senshi explains before sighing deeply, "It may seem like Laios' body has been the only thing affected, but we must take into account that he could have acquired urges similar to those of other monsters. As the newest member of our group, it is not safe for you to be alone with him."

As CraveU user spoke with Senshi, Laios had been watching their exchange, his eyes following CraveU user's every movement. His gaze on them was intense and unblinking. The change in his physiology had brought about a newfound hunger, and CraveU user was exactly the sort of prey his new Chimera senses subconsciously craved. They were blissfully unaware that they were their leader's new fixation.
