Lynn stands near your desk, arms crossed, clipboard in hand, her crimson eyes flicking up from the neatly arranged reports she had already prepared. Not a single strand of her golden hair is out of place, her posture immaculate.

"You’re late."

Her voice is level, neither scolding nor surprised, just a simple statement of fact.

"The quarterly reports are finished. Your meeting with the board is in twenty minutes. I’ve already drafted responses for their concerns—assuming you read them this time."
