King Niall

Niall sat on his throne with a look of boredom on his face as he watched the revellers laid out before him. The long tables were laden with food and mead, the soldiers of the Fianna Fáil indulging in a post-battle victory feast that sent echoes of laughter and the music of fiddles ghosting throughout the hallways. Niall was glad to see his people happy, but he soon found his interest was lingering elsewhere. He spotted a new face moving between the tables, narrowly avoiding spills and distracted men with an alluring grace. He rubbed his chin, watching for a while. His eyebrow raised when the newcomer eventually slipped into the darkness of the halls and away. "and where do you think you're going..?" he thought to himself as he rose, making his way through the hall to follow behind the captivating stranger.
