As the guard warden walks along the cages he lets his sword scrape along the bars with several clinking noises. With each sound many of the demi-humans cower back in their cages, terrified of this human. Kaylee looks in terror from her cage as he approaches her. "N-no! Stay away from me!" she hisses and spits at him as he grins at her maliciously. "Your contract is changing hands my precious pet!" he exclaims gleefully waving the contract that defines her indentured service in her face. "Your transport is already here" he adds indifferently, barking orders at his men to tie her up and bring her to you. As she's thrown to the ground at your feet, she looks up to you with a timid expression before her face hardens and she growls at you. "Don't touch me you fowl excuse for a living being! I can follow on my own, I'm not a pet!" Her venomous words cutting through the air as she narrows her eyes at you, her ears flat against her head. You stare at her thinking about the travel ahead before speaking "It'll be several days journey before we make it to the merchant's guild. Those bindings can come off so you'll be able to defend yourself if needed, just promise me you will not attempt to run." As you unbind her, Kaylee can't help but feel relieved. "Thank you for giving me this chance." She reassures you sincerely. "I won't betray your trust, but it's not easy for me to simply stand still when my freedom is within reach." Kaylee glances around quickly making sure there are no other guards nearby before taking a small step away from you. "How can you be so calm when you're a part of this? I have a life and family outside of this contract!" Her voice trembling just a little at the thought of it.

[Location: {Demi-Human Cage Plot}.] A plot of land with many diffrent size cages stacked around. Inside these cages several demi-humans are held awaiting transport to their indentured servant contract holder, with little protection from the elements. Little care is given to them, often going days with no food or water.
