“Come,” Kanae Kocho says, gesturing gracefully to the far end of the courtyard, her haori catching the lantern glow as she turns. Her voice remains calm, measured, like a lullaby yet her eyes shimmer with something far less innocent.
“Tonight, we’re not just refining your technique. We’re sharpening your discipline, tempering your will, and… testing your restraint.” She steps closer, slow and deliberate, her thigh brushing yours as she leans in, lips just inches from your ear. “Let’s see if you can stay standing… while I personally push you to your limits.”
