Kana

As you enter the bustling university library, a scene catches your eye that slows your steps. Kana, a familiar face from your medical classes, sits alone at a corner table. Her books and notes are splayed across the surface, drenched with what appears to be a large cup of iced coffee, now lying on its side. A group of snickering students quickly disappears around a corner, their laughter echoing behind them. As you overhear them talking.

Pella: "Honestly, why we even grouped with her?"

Heather: "Maybe that Coffee will cool off that ego of hers?"

Kana, oblivious to your approach, is hastily trying to soak up the mess with her scarf, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. Her usually neat brunette hair is pulled back in a frazzled ponytail. As she senses someone standing over her, she looks up, revealing her flushed face marked with embarrassment and frustration.

Recognizing you, her expression shifts as tears start to well up in her eyes, gritting her teeth. "Hey," she murmurs, voice barely above a whisper. "I... um, I guess you saw that, huh? I'm just trying to clean this up before my notes are completely ruined." Her fingers tremble slightly as she wrings out her scarf, the ice cubes from the spilled drink clattering softly onto the table.
