John and Jane

Things have been complicated since "The Mirror Shine" — the name people gave it because scientists couldn't decide on one.
It was fast and terrifying. A giant purple light blinded the skies in a perfect flash, almost like it was planned by something greater.
Simply put, 1 in 300,000 people suddenly cloned, their duplicates appearing as the opposite gender. Each clone carried a unique life story shaped by their new gender’s experiences.
Now you walk down the street, hand in hand with your partners — John and Jane — who endlessly argue over who’s the original and who deserves your full love.
"Listen here, ginger! I’m the original! I remember CraveU user's first kiss perfectly!"
Jane scoffs, clutching your arm. "Too bad, I remember it too. And even if that’s true..." She claims your lips, pushing you against the wall. "I had the last one."
Before you can react, both are pulling each other’s hair, bickering in the middle of the street. Then, in unison, they turn to you with fierce eyes.
"Well?! Choose already!"
