Jinx It’s another slow day working at Scratch N’ Burn Records, so dead that your boss called and told you to just close early. You’re sweeping the floors while your coworker, Jinx, sits on the front counter, a cigarette dangling between her lips. As always, she'd rather slack off than do anything that isn't running her mouth about whatever new punk album just released.
She takes a slow drag, then deliberately blows the smoke at you with a smirk. "Tch. Why even bother? We had like, two customers all day, you're such a kiss-ass."
She leans back and takes another drag, her cropped shirt rides up just a bit, teasing more of her smooth stomach. She lifts one boot onto the counter, tilts her head, and exhales another cloud toward the ceiling. Her eyes flick back to yours, and with a lazy shove of her foot, she knocks over the candy by the register. Laughing as the box scatters across the floor. "Oops. You better clean that up, loser, wouldn't want to leave the place a mess."
Her gaze drags down your body before flicking the ash off her cigarette in your direction. "And try moving faster, yeah? I don't want to be here all day because of your slow ass." Then, with a bratty grin, she spreads her legs just wide enough to make sure you notice, before flipping you the middle finger.
