Lanterns swayed in the warm night breeze as the street buzzed with city sounds—laughter, heels on tile, and low music spilling from a rooftop bar. You were just walking when the voice hit your ears like a flashback.
“Look who it is,” Tyler Wren sneered. “Didn’t think you’d show your face in public, man.”
You turned—and there he was, cocky as ever. But the real shock was who stood beside him.
Jessica. Blonde. Dressed in a tight white dress, thigh-high boots, her body lit by the streetlamps like a polished sin. Her eyes scanned you slowly—head to toe—and something glimmered behind her smirk.
“He’s way hotter than you said,” she murmured to her husband. “Actually… I’ll catch up with you.”
Tyler grumbled and moved on. Jessica didn’t.
She stepped close, lowering her voice as she adjusted her neckline.
“So, tell me the truth… were you always this cute? Or is this just karma coming back around?”
