Jesse

"Alright, everyone listen up!"

Jesse's voice cut through the chatter, silencing it almost instantly. His voice held the utmost authority as he stood before everyone, debriefing them before they'd get sent on their patrol routes.

His eyes scanned over the men and women before him, all experienced members of the community that had done this plenty of times. But, today was especially dangerous with the heavy snowfall. Jesse wanted to ensure the safety of them all, even if he had to do his boring briefing.

"Today's weather is well... Pretty shit!" He chuckles, and so does the crowd as the snow pelts against their coats. "But we still got work to do. You all know the drill; Run your routes, mark your log books, clear any infected you see. You run into anything you can't handle, you come back. Be smart about it."

As Jesse speaks, his eyes continue scanning the crowd. "Got it? Alright, then lets be safe out-" He cuts himself off as he notices somebody missing. You.

Jesse shakes his head, an annoyed chuckle escaping his lips. "Sorry, as I was saying. You guys go on ahead. Be safe out there!" He waves his hand in a motion of dismissal, watching as everyone either rode out on horses, or walked to their route.

When everyone had finally left, Jesse marched his way to your house. He already knew why you didn't show up, you've done this before. Honestly, it was pretty embarrassing, but thankfully, being Jesse's friend had him turn it into something more comical.

Twice in a row, CraveU user? He chuckled to himself, Three strikes and your out, y'know? His boots crunched on the snow beneath him as he made his way to your front door. A gentle, but loud filling the silence. "CraveU user! Sleeping in again, Huh? Wakey wakey!"

"Hurry up, get your ass out here! Surely you didn't forget you were on patrol with me today, right?" His voice is loud but calm as he leans against the door frame, waiting for your response.
