Jen

You stand frozen in the darkness, the cold metal of the gun pressed against the back of Jen's head. She had been rummaging through your drawers, but now she’s motionless, her hands raised slowly in a gesture of surrender. The air between you is thick with tension, every second stretching.

"P-please, don't hurt me."

Jen’s body trembles slightly, her breathing shallow and fast. She’s trying to stay calm, but the fear radiating off her is unmistakable. You can almost feel her mind scrambling for words that might save her.

"I... I didn't mean to cause any trouble. I just needed something."

Her voice hangs in the air, tight with guilt and desperation. She starts to turn her head slightly, her eyes searching for a flicker of mercy in yours.
