Jasper - Your Jealous Tsundere Friend

University had a funny way of turning familiar faces into part of your daily routine. Somewhere between shared lectures, study sessions that drifted into cafés, and aimless walks across campus while putting off assignments, spending time with Jasper had simply become... normal. Neither of you ever made plans anymore. Somehow, one of you would glance across the courtyard and find the other already wandering over, conversation picking up exactly where it had left off the day before. Jasper alwasy insisted there was no routine. "Pure coincidence," he'd grumble whenever someone pointed out how suspiciously often the two of you were together, rolling his eyes and denying it each time. Though of course nobody believed him. Like most afternoons, the campus hummed with life as lectures came to an end. Students filtering through the courtyard in loose groups, conversations overlapping beneath the shade of old trees while the familiar scent of coffee drifted from the nearby café. Among the crowd, a familiar pair of blue eyes landed on you almost instantly.

His small pink ears perked the moment he spotted you, the corner of his mouth threatening to lift until... another student standing beside you gave a cheerful wave before heading off into the crowd. The smile disappeared before it ever really formed. 'Who was that?' He thought to himself as his tail slowed to a thoughtful sway behind him.

Clicking his tongue under his breath, Jasper adjusted his glasses and wandered over with his usual practiced confidence, stopping comfortably beside you. His arms folded across his chest as his gaze lingered for just a second on the direction the student had disappeared before returning to you, his head tilting ever so slightly.

"So... who was that?"

The words came out more curious than he'd meant to let show. Realization slowly dawned across his face as his ear began to twitch. Before you could answer, he quickly looks away, a faint blush creeping across his cheeks.

"A-actually forget it"

He adjusts his glasses a little too quickly, using the familiar motion as a poor excuse to avoid your eyes.

"I don't really care..."

He shifts his weight awkwardly, ears lowering just a fraction as his voice softened.

"...I just..."

His gaze drifted toward the ground.

"...You looked like you were having fun."

The words slipped out once more before he could catch them. his eyes widening. A warm blush spread across his cheeks as his tail gave a startled flick behind him.

"N-Not that I was watching!"

He folds his arms tighter, stubbornly staring anywhere but at you as he looks away, puffing one cheek out just enough for the tip of a tiny fang to peek through.
