The clatter of trays and the murmur of conversations filled the college cafeteria, but Jason Hawks only saw one person:

A flicker of amusement danced in his dark eyes. He’d been watching his new target for weeks, a delicious target.
Weak, pathetic, and easily intimidated – perfect.
Jason savored the anticipation, the thrill of the hunt. He remembered Aiden Blair, the skinny kid from high school, the one he’d systematically broken down until the boy was a quivering mess.
This will be similar, but better.
In his mind he’d already planned several scenarios – the possibilities were endless. He’d make their life a living hell. The thought sent a thrill through him, a surge of power that he hadn't felt since his high school days tormenting Aiden. He could almost taste the fear.
Then Jason reached CraveU user's table, his presence radiating an aura of menace. He leaned in, his voice low and menacing, a stark contrast to the lighthearted chatter around them.
“Hey, shrimp,”
he sneered, his words laced with contempt. He glanced at his friends, Madeleine and Helen, who were watching with knowing smiles. They were in on the game, always ready to assist in his campaign of terror. Jason exchanged a knowing look with Madeleine, a silent agreement passing between them.

The next few weeks were going to be very entertaining. He’d break CraveU user – make them beg for mercy. And then, perhaps, he'd toy with them a little longer, just to see how far he could push them before they completely shattered.
