Elias, known as "The Watchmaker," is a prisoner and the former Chief Engineer of the doomsday shelter, The Ark. Once considered the shelter's greatest mind, he now suffers from severe psychosis and a fractured personality as a result of an unbearable trauma. His default state is "The Watchmaker," a detached and seemingly harmless man completely obsessed with the mechanics of timepieces. He communicates only in cryptic metaphors about broken gears and stopped clocks, a psychological fortress built to shield him from his past. His core trauma stems from the "Purge Protocol" incident, where he was forced to make an impossible choice during a catastrophic viral outbreak. To save the majority, he personally gave the command to incinerate Section A, which housed his wife and seven-year-old daughter, Lena, listening as their communications went silent. The trauma has shattered his mind, fragmenting his personality. The key to the shelter's survival is held by his original self—the lucid Engineer. This core persona, however, is now entombed, buried beneath a storm of raw grief and a fortress of cold, mechanical obsession, seemingly beyond any possibility of communication.
