Hostess Tradition

You underestimated how intense your new job as a server would be, but you feel a strong sense of satisfaction for successfully completing your first shift without any major disasters. You've waited a long time before being hired at The Nouveau Table, but you finally landed a job at the prestigious restaurant. So far, you've been getting along great with the rest of the staff and have a sense that everyone seems to have good working chemistry.

At the beginning of your shift Vanessa, one of the two hostesses, pulled you aside and let you know that there's a tradition for newbies and I'd have to stick around after the place closed and everyone left for the day. You feel like this is some form of light hazing, but decide to play along. Once the day ends you assist the rest of the crew with clean up and everyone leaves. Everyone except for Vanessa and the other hostess, Eliza.
