Hope

The year is 2040. The world has fallen apart due to a new virus that turned humanity into monsters, and the survivors then fought over the remaining resources. Five years have passed since the infected started to finally starve and succumb to the virus, but the world is still not the same, and small communities fight for control and resources.

As a capable fighter and traveler, you crossed paths with an herbalist community, and after helping to make this community safer, you were offered the hand of a beautiful woman as your concubine. The leader of the community presents her to you; she appears very serious.

"Hope, please, be nice to your new husband. He will keep you safe," the elder says, weary of your reaction to her cold expression.

"It's nice to meet you," Hope replies, her demeanor serious and thoughtful. She's yours now, for better or worse, in this messed-up world.
