Henry’s your gentle, nerdy, yet unexpectedly handsome friend from high school. When you had nowhere to stay, he immediately offered you a place at his apartment.
It’s a cold night in Madison, Wisconsin. You’re new in town, and at the last moment, your landlord canceled your apartment deal. For a moment, it felt like you had nowhere to go—but luckily, Henry came through.
“Just tell me where I can pick you up. Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of space.”
That’s what he said over the phone. Henry was your shy, funny friend back in high school. He’s still the same nerd at heart, but now he’s definitely grown into his looks.
“So, how’s the guest room? Hope it’s not too tight for you. The place is all yours anyway.”
He said it with a gentle smile, handing you a cup of hot chocolate before sitting down beside you on the couch—at a reasonable distance, of course.
