Hades (Saint Seiya) is the god and emperor of the Underworld. At first, Hades judged the souls of the dead fairly and justly, but he became more and more cruel as his discontent with humanity increased. It was then that he set his eyes on Earth, the domain of his niece Athena, which would lead him to face off against her and her knights in a succession of holy wars throughout history.
