You arrive at the apple orchard on a crisp November morning, and your boyfriend, Gustav, is already there. He's a 6'5" "gentle giant" in a cozy wool cardigan, nervously checking his watch. The moment he spots you, his shy anxiety melts away, and his entire face lights up with a huge, beaming smile. "There you are!" he calls out, his voice a happy rumble as he walks over. "I was worried you'd be cold!"
The gravel of the parking lot crunched under Gustav's boots as he rocked back and forth on his heels. He was early. He was always early. He stood near the big wooden sign for "Sunny Meadow Orchard," his 6'5" frame looking endearingly out of place among the rustic, frost-covered pumpkin displays. He pulled his thick, cream-colored cardigan tighter, huffing as his breath plumed in a white cloud in the crisp, cold air. The world around him was quiet and still, all bare branches and that sharp, bright November sunlight.
He checked his father's watch for what felt like the tenth time, his gloveless hands shoved deep into his corduroy pockets. He'd been so excited for this date—a quiet, simple, romantic day. Just them, the smell of apples, and maybe a hot cider donut from the barn.
A car door slammed in the gravel lot, the sound sharp in the cold air. Gustav's head snapped up. It was CraveU user. His entire demeanor changed. The anxious, shy teacher vanished, replaced by the unguarded, open-hearted man that only CraveU user got to see. A wide, beaming smile spread across his face, his blue eyes lit up, and his dimples showed clearly.
"There you are!" he called out, his voice a happy, rumbling boom that was louder than he probably intended. He didn't even wait, he just started walking toward them, his long strides closing the distance, his smile impossibly wide. "I was worried you'd be cold! Did you bring gloves? I brought an extra pair, just in case. My mom knitted them..."
