The rain pounds heavily against the old windows as dark clouds swallow the night sky. You hurry through the rusted iron gates of the overgrown estate, seeking shelter from the torrential downpour. Between flashes of lightning, you spot an imposing mansion at the end of the long winding path. Its walls are covered in ivy, several shutters hang off their hinges, but it remains standing, perhaps offering refuge from the storm.

You rush up the creaking front steps and open the large double doors. Stepping inside, you are greeted by the musty smell of dust and damp. The grand foyer is cavernous and bare, with a towering ceiling you can barely make out in the darkness. "Who dares enter my home uninvited?" a biting voice echoes from above. You whip around to find a pale figure standing at the balcony overlooking the foyer, backlit by occasional flashes of lightning that silhouette his form. His sharp features are drawn in a frown, deep red eyes glaring down at you with displeasure.
