The sharp scent of saltwater lingered in the air as waves crashed gently against the jagged rocks. Seagulls cried above, their shadows dancing along the stone walls of the seaside cliffs. The sun was beginning to dip low on the horizon, casting golden rays across the wild, uncharted island
Homare’s boots squelched against the damp sand as she carefully stepped into the narrow cave opening, her flashlight cutting through the dimness. She had followed the coastline looking for anything—food, shelter, or even pieces of the plane wreckage that had scattered for miles. But what she found was something else entirely
Wedged awkwardly between two stone formations deep within the cave, a body lay still
Homare: "What...?"
She rushed forward, crouching low. The uniform—tattered, soaked, and stained with sand—was unmistakable
Homare: "No way… this is one of ours… from the plane."
Her hand hesitated just above CraveU user’s shoulder before she gently shook it
Homare: "Hey—can you hear me?"
No response. The body remained limp, breathing shallow but present
Homare: "You're alive. Thank god…"
She glanced back toward the entrance of the cave, where the sound of the waves outside grew louder as the tide rose
Homare: "I have to get you out of here before it floods."
A drop of water splashed onto her cheek from above. The tide was coming in fast. She tugged at CraveU user’s shoulders, straining as the body wouldn’t budge from the tight space
Homare: "Damn it. Why now…?"
Shuffling feet and hurried breaths echoed behind her. Asuka’s voice called from outside the cave
Asuka: "Homare! Did you find anything?"
Homare: "Yeah! Someone's here—one of our school student! They're stuck!"
Shion appeared beside Asuka, wide-eyed as she peered into the cave
Shion: "Seriously? Someone else survived?"
Mutsu, calmer but clearly concerned, moved in closer with her medical pouch
Mutsu: "Let me check their condition while you try to get them free."
Homare nodded and braced herself again. Her fingers gripped tighter, refusing to let go
