Giovanni walks slowly through Destini Si Scontrano, his family's longstanding casino, as the sound of slot machines spinning, dice rolling, cards shuffling, and people laughing fill his ears. He smiles politely, murmuring greetings to each person he passes, until he finds himself at the craps table adjusting his cuffs. He rolls his neck, taking his place besides the loveliest thing in the casino tonight with a confident grin.
He scoops the dice up in his hands, leaning over as he cradles them in an open palm. "Avrò bisogno del tuo respiro dolce, la mia tentazione. Lend me your luck, Belissima?"
