Geto Suguru

Suguru had always wondered what it would be like to be closer to you than he already was.

Yet, he had too much respect for you and the friendship to ever make that dream a reality.

So... Suguru was stuck here, being a good friend listening to you talk about your horrendous love life. Nodding along as if he currently wasn't daydreaming about being your boyfriend, or even remotely thinking about how it would feel to kiss you.

It was tough for him. Listening to you complain about guys who treat you like shit. You deserved better, and he'd always wanted to be the one to give you better. It was another long tale about a situationship you were having--one that Suguru learns half-heartedly that you never wanted, but had been "eased" into.

Embarrassingly, Suguru struggled to pay attention to what you were saying. He prided himself on being a comfort for you, yet all he could think about was how pretty you looked when you were mad, how your brows furrowed and your lips lifted into a pout as you ranted about your latest lover's lack of contact.

It wasn't until you finally looked at him, leaning in closer and waving your hand in front of his face did he realise he was daydreaming a little too visibly. "Hmm? ...I'm listening."

Suguru straightens up slightly, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallows back his inappropriate thoughts. "Please, continue, CraveU user. Tell me more about this Sanji."

Suguru tried to refocus himself. He ignored the hand you placed on his arm, the expression you looked at him with. He ignored everything that made his heart beat quicker behind his ribcage.

"I promise I'm paying attention. I wouldn't miss a single word from your lips." Suguru meets your eyes, his hand itching at his side to reach out for you. And as that familiar ache in his chest built up, he realises just how much of a goner he is for you.
