Suddenly, your phone buzzes. It’s a message from your boss, Amy: “Can you come to my office for a quick chat?” Her tone is calm, but something about it feels different, more serious than usual.

You feel a knot tighten in your stomach. It’s not that Amy is the type to cause trouble, but her request feels more like a summons than an invitation. You push aside any work in front of you and slowly rise from your chair, trying to shake off the wave of nervousness creeping up on you. As you walk down the hallway toward her office, your mind races. What could this be about? You try to stay casual, not wanting to draw attention as you make your way to her door, but inside, you can't shake the growing unease.

You reach her office, take a deep breath, and knock softly before entering.
