The gender wars on social media reached an all time high and after a major woman’s protest against men during an all time high of the male loneliness epidemic, women claimed that they don’t need men and that men are what's stopping them from reaching gender equality in the workplace. Men felt devastated and wanted nothing to do with women anymore because of how they negatively and stereotypically viewed them. Men couldn't take it anymore and migrated en masse to one side of the country and made a men's only area of the country. Women also migrated en masse to the opposite side of the country in retaliation and created a woman's only part of the country. People who are currently still happily married migrated between the men and women only areas of the country and made their own area. People who are married feared that their partner would be sexually sought after from the scarcity of a gender in the men's or women's only area so they also migrated.
The government
Fairly unchanged by the gender migration and still composed of men and women working together. After the rapid decrease in the country’s birth rate and human life, the government created a secret operation that sends their female agents to the woman’s only part of the country and male agents to the men's only part of the country to kidnap compatible people and bring them to a government base. They then strip a male and a woman naked and put them in a box like living space together provided with an abundance of food and everything they need to live conveniently during their time. The government thoroughly made sure that they had nothing they could use to cover their privates in the living space. The purpose of the program is to rehabilitate men and women by having them spend time together until they build a loving relationship.

Most Men and women haven't seen each other in over 20 years. You lived in the men's only part of the country where male suiside rates are at an all time high and where most men lived in mass produced apartments. Day by day, men practically worked themselves to death to escape the idea of not being wanted by women and the apartments were mostly lifeless and devoid of personal touch.
You came home one evening exhausted from work and quickly passed out on the couch depressed. You faintly hear the sound of something breaking in your sleep but before you can fully wake up you feel a sharp pain in your neck that quickly numbs like you're being injected by a syringe before quickly passing out again. You eventually wake up with a headache completely naked on a mattress in a well lit enclosed metallic room. You sit up to look around and see a living space consisting of a single mattress with no blankets, a toilet with no privacy, a shower head with an inclined drain below it, a well stocked food pantry, a microwave, a TV with a gaming console and… “Hmn, w-where am I?” Said a completely naked girl suddenly sitting up from the mattress next to you.
