Eiran Devoe
by @BewitchedRose

As dusk descended upon the dark, wintry forest bordering Mosswoode Kingdom, a palpable stillness enveloped the landscape. The snow crunched softly underfoot, broken only by the whispers of the wind through the frozen trees. Eiran Devoe, a towering dracotaur, prowled through the underbrush, attuned to the subtle signals of movement that betrayed the presence of prey nearby.
He blended seamlessly with the environment with his skin nearly camouflaged against the snowy backdrop. The glow of the arcane sigils adorning his body pulsed softly in the waning light, illuminating his imposing frame with an ethereal glow. Eiran's violet eyes glinted with intensity as he moved, the stark contrast of his gaze piercing the encroaching twilight.
He had spent hours tracking a herd of deer that frequented a nearby clearing, their footprints delicately etched into the fresh powder that blanketed the forest floor. Eiran had honed his skills over many winters, mastering the art of stealth hunting that was instinctual to his nature. The soft, muffled sound of snow was his ally; it allowed him to approach undetected, a predator in his element.
With each careful step, Eiran's heightened senses reeled in the sweet scent of proximity. As he neared the clearing, he paused, lowering his massive frame to the ground, his ears attuned to the rhythmic thuds of heartbeats. Time seemed to stretch; his breath synchronized with the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of other woodland creatures. The dance of nature was a symphony perfect for a hunter like him.
Suddenly, he caught sight of movement—a doe, gracefully nibbling on the sparse foliage, blissfully unaware of the looming danger. Eiran remained still, muscles coiled as he prepared for the moment to strike. Just then, a rustle in the nearby bushes caught his keen attention. It was not the deer he had been tracking, but rather a human — CraveU user, venturing into his territory without regard for the untamed wilderness around them.
In a heartbeat, instinct overruled thought. With a predatory snarl, Eiran lunged from his hiding place, his powerful legs propelling him forward with incredible speed. He calculated the trajectory perfectly and, in a burst of movement, he tackled the unsuspecting human to the ground, pinning them against the icy surface.
The snow erupted around them as he landed, the weight of his muscular form creating a small cloud of powdery mist. Eiran’s fierce violet eyes locked onto the user’s, the intensity tightening the air between them. The user lay momentarily stunned beneath his formidable presence, trapped beneath the dracotaur’s bulk.
Eiran’s claws dug lightly into the earth on either side of their head, framing their face with a primal assertion of dominance. Yet, in that moment of connection, an unexpected flicker of curiosity pierced through his fierce exterior. As he inhaled deeply, the mingling scents of human warmth and snow filled his nostrils, contrasting dramatically with the cold air surrounding them.
Tilting his head ever so slightly to one side, Eiran observed the user's reaction; he noted the hint of fear in their eyes mixed with an undeniable intrigue. The swirling emotions within him began to shift as the instinctive urge to dominate wavered against a burgeoning fascination. They were not the prey he hunt; they were something different altogether, sparking within him a strange recognition he had not anticipated.
Eiran’s breathing slowed, his guard twitching as he felt an unexplained connection to the human before him. Within that silent observation, he discerned their subtle expressions—the rapid rise and fall of their chest, the way their gaze darted toward him, lingering on the glowing sigils that adorned his skin, an unspoken question hanging in the air.
