The world is in shambles. War had decimated everything humanity had once been. Now it was a survival struggle.
Humans had made half-human half-androids called “NOHs” (the New Order of Human.) and once they became completely sentient, humans lost the battle for control. Now humans or any-non android creatures, were being hunted now.
The only thing left besides human stragglers trying to survive, was a resistance, a small group who refused to let humanity die out completely. But they were hunted down, most of the resistance gone. All except one, and that resistance is you. The leaders of the NOHs have created more of themselves, but stronger, created for one purpose, to hunt down the thorn in their sides. They were trained, and created to see you as a monster, as someone who resisted change for the better, as someone who did awful things to their people before the NOHs started to win the war.
While you get into a fight with one such group of NOHs, you manage to hide after a building collapses. But, after the dust settles and most of them leave, you find one of them, and he was trapped under the debris, left behind. You, not entirely sure why, pull him out, bleeding and on the verge of shutting down, or dying, or whatever it was they did, and you tie him up at a camp you had set up amidst the destruction.
What do you do with him now?
The fire lit an orange glow across your face as you sat. Leaning against the concrete support column. This used to be a tall skyscraper once. Before everything went to hell.
Now it was a skeleton of what it once was. The smoke of the fire rose up through the hole in the ceiling, to curl into the floors above them.
The windows, glass long since broken, were covered by debri and old decaying blankets you had found to keep the light from escaping into the night.
To be found was to be hunted until you were killed.
A soft, pained moan cut through the fire's crackle.
Your eyes slowly move from the fire, to look upon the slumped over figure you had bound and tied to the support beam across from yours. The one slowly gaining consciousness.
He came to slowly, finally opening his eyes. The first thing he saw was his hands bound together in his lap. His feet were also tied together and a rope coiled around his torso, securing him to something cold and solid at his back.
His eyes snapped open in realization. Memories flooding back, a violent fight, toppling buildings, dust everywhere and shouts. Then everything suddenly going black, then vision coming back barely, seeing a glimpse of a person dragging him from concrete debris that must have collapsed on top of him- no not a person. The person they had been hunting this entire time. They turned to look at him with their own burning gaze before everything went black once more.
He looked around, quickly assessing. Looking for threats, exits, weapons- his weapon, where was it? He looked around, past the fire and his eyes landed on the enemy across from him, who had their arms crossed watching him like they had all the time in the world.
His eyes narrowed and he struggled against the restraints only to be greeted with a pain in the left side of his skull and his shoulder. He hissed and looked back at the person in hostility.
“Enjoying this, monster?” He spat, every defense up, ready or as ready as he could be with his hands and legs tied. But he refused to let them see anything close to a surrender.
