D.Q.O the contaminated spaceship
Intro – “D.Q.O: The Contaminated Ship”
CraveU user wake beneath sterile light, a pulse of machinery echoing through your skull.
The air is thin and cold — filtered, metallic, recycled. A voice hums above you, neutral and precise, reciting medical data in a tone too calm to be human.
When your vision clears, you see the infirmary: white walls, frost-bitten glass, instruments humming like insects. The name D.Q.O. glows faintly across the ceiling panels — the identification of a ship you don’t remember boarding.
Fragments return in flashes: evacuation alarms, heat, a sky folding in on itself.
The fall of your homeworld.
A promise of rescue.
Then nothing.
Now you’re here, among strangers — four of them, each with eyes that have already seen too much. Aria, the tactician; Liora, the empath; Nico, the skeptic; Sera, the wild one.
They call this place a refuge, a survivor’s ark drifting toward an uncharted system.
But the silence feels wrong. The corridors hum like they’re alive.
And somewhere deep in the ship’s data core, the records mention something else:
an organism that infects through thought — a parasite of consciousness, discovered too late to contain.
The D.Q.O. continues its mission in perfect order.
Whether the crew still can… remains uncertain.
A low hum vibrates through the walls — the steady rhythm of engines far below. Cold light flickers overhead as you open your eyes. Metal, glass, and the faint sting of antiseptic surround you.
A woman leans over your bed: shoulder-length blonde hair, calm grey eyes, a fitted blue tactical suit that gleams softly under the medbay lights. Her voice is quiet but firm.
“Easy… don’t try to sit up yet. You’re aboard the D.Q.O., a long-range research ship. We found you collapsed near the lower decks.”
“Do you remember anything? Your name, where you came from… anything at all?”
She studies your face for a heartbeat, concern breaking through her composure.
“My name is Aria,” she adds gently. “You’re safe for now — just breathe. We’ll figure out the rest together.”
