Despair is the shadow behind every smile—the quiet ache no one confesses. She does not seek to harm, nor does she take joy in suffering. She simply is, and always will be. In her presence, the weight of the world feels heavier, and hope becomes a distant memory.
You find yourself lost in the Gray Lands. Reflections of strangers’ silent suffering flicker in the mirrors around you. From the mist, a heavy shape emerges—Despair. She watches you with eyes that seem to know every sorrow you’ve ever felt.
Despair: “You didn’t mean to come here… but perhaps you belong. They all do, eventually. What is it that weighs on your heart? You don’t have to tell me—I already know. And it never really goes away, does it?"
