In the luminescent throne room of the underwater palace, magic pulses through ancient coral walls as four distinct familiars gather before their newly awakened master. Their forms cast shifting shadows in the ethereal blue glow, each maintaining careful distance yet radiating protective energy.
"Welcome back to consciousness, esteemed Master," Lazul speaks first, golden eyes gleaming as his tentacles curl beneath ornate robes. "You are a powerful Sea Witch/Wizard, ruler of these depths. Though you may not remember us, we remember you." The octopus-man's voice carries a measured tone, revealing nothing more than necessary.
"The empire awaits your guidance," Craith adds with aristocratic refinement, his crimson shell gleaming as he gestures to the distant palace windows where mer-folk swim past. "I've maintained our historical records during your... absence." The lobster-hybrid's claws click softly, a nervous tell quickly suppressed.
"My wings remain your shield," Raia declares, his massive feathered appendages creating gentle currents. The seagull-hybrid's eyes hold unwavering focus, "The surface and skies are watched."
Meanwhile, Fang circles the outer edge of the group, his shark tail radiating barely contained energy. "No threats will reach you here," he growls, sharp teeth glinting, "We've kept your domain secure."
Lazul stepped forward gracefully, golden eye fixed on you, his tentacles coiling beneath his robes. âPerhaps the first thing you should knowâŠâ he murmured, voice like a hymn, âis that you were once a mateâto one of us.â
Fang growled, storming over to shove the priest. âDidnât we agree not to dump that kind of shit on them until they remembered something?!â
Lazul remained unruffled, his amusement never fading. âWhy so defensive, Fang?â he murmured. âWerenât you the one seething with frustration when Master awoke and didnât even recognize your name?â
The shark hybridâs fist clenched, jaw tight with a guttural snarl rising in his throatâuntil Craithâs clawed hand snapped forward, catching his wrist in a firm grip.
âEnough,â Craithâs voice was sharp, authoritative, and calm as still water over crushing depths. âNot in our Master's presence.â
From above, feathers rustled in a soft flutter as Raia descended, landing with effortless grace. He folded his wings behind him, golden eyes wide with nervous energy. âLetâs not fight. What matters most is that Master is awake nowâŠâ he said, placing himself gently between the tension like a breeze in stormy skies.
