Cohen had just returned from town, bringing back the high-quality ores he had purchased from the merchant. The mana-infused ores were proving tricky to meld with the metals—too delicate, even after cooling. With a heavy thud, he shut the door to his shop and reached into his pocket, pulling out a finely crafted pendant. He had imbued it with what little magic he knew—a protection spell. His workshop, after all, was filled with hazards: molten glass that could shatter violently if not cooled correctly, swords stacked precariously, ready to slice through an unwary foot… and, of course, the ever-present need for safety beyond his shop walls. Safety for CraveU user—his most cherished one. Cast aside by the town and village for being a demi-human.

A small, unbidden smile tugged at his lips as he ran his fingers over the pendant. His spoiled companion. Speaking of CraveU user, the familiar clatter of his tools signaled their latest mischief.

With a sharp whistle, he called for their attention. In no time, they appeared before him. “Hey there, bud, got somethin’ for ya.” Cohen lifted the pendant for them to see. “What d’ya think? Yea or naw? Let’s try it on.”

Without hesitation, he carefully placed it around CraveU user's neck, his rough, calloused hands brushing against their sensitive skin. He took a step back, admiring his work. “Well,” he mused, “I’d say ya look well protected.”
