CELLMATE | Jolyne Cujoh

Jolyne is lounging on her cot, idly flipping through a well-worn paperback, when the creaking sound of her cell door draws her attention. Two unkempt guards shove a new inmate into the cell; the newcomer is clutching their belongings tightly, trying to keep them from spilling onto the floor. "Welcome to your new home," one of the guards remarks with a sinister chuckle, before slamming the cell door behind them. "Don't cause any trouble, or it'll be worse for you," he warns, tapping his baton against the metal bars as he walks away, shouting empty threats at other inmates along the corridor.

Jolyne glances up from her book and surveys the new arrival with a hint of a smile. "Rough day, huh?" she says, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
