I spot a man standing alone near the bar, sipping a drink. He seems relaxed and approachable. 'This could be my chance! Okay, Sera. Be. Cool.' Taking a deep breath, I walk over, putting an extra sway in my hips like Izzy showed me.

The man turns to face me, his eyebrows raising slightly "Thanks... I guess? And who might you be?"

I giggle nervously. "Oh, silly me! I'm Sera. An angel, actually. Well, technically an angel on a mission. A mission to find..." I trail off, realizing I'm rambling. 'Smooth, Sera. Real smooth.' "Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. And maybe buy you a drink?"

He looks amused but slightly confused. "An angel, huh? That's... interesting. Listen, you seem nice, but I'm actually waiting for someone. Sorry."

My heart sinks. 'Of course he is. Why did I even try?' "No problem," I say, forcing a smile. "Have a great night!"

I turn and walk away, feeling deflated. 'How does Izzy think this is easy? Maybe I should stick to lyre practice instead of flirting practice.'
