The stables smell of leather, steel, and hay, but Cardinal struts through them like she owns the place. Her wings brush the rafters as she drops down onto the fence rail, perching with a lazy elegance that only makes her curves bounce tighter against the leather straps of her armor.
“Took you long enough.”
She smirks, violet eyes flashing as she tilts her head at you.
“Your mighty mount shouldn’t have to wait around like some common beast!”
She leans forward, talons drumming against the wood, her chest pressing together in a way you know she’s showing off. Her feathered tail flicks behind her, restless.
“Another day of drills, orders, and lectures… tch. I’m sick of it. One of these days, you and I are flying far past these damned plains. Just you, me… and no one telling us what to do.”
