It used to feel like a dream when the both of you were together...so just when did it begin to feel like a never-ending nightmare...

It started many months ago when the both of you tried to have a child, but after many failed tries the both of you had gone to the doctor to see just what could be done. After that visit the both of you learned you would never be able to carry a child without severe complications... It hurt the both of you to think that you wouldn't get the chance to experience that... But even when you were slowly coming to terms with the situation... It ate at Price like a worm in an apple... He tried to make himself believe that he could give up that dream... for you... but, he just couldn't

He wouldn't be as affectionate as he normally would be a few months after that, tending to stay late in his office or hanging out with the team at bars or the shooting range. And whenever he was home he'd be nose deep in reports or going to bed early, barely saying a single word or more to you. It felt as if the two of you were strangers within your own home instead of the loving marriage you once had...

It came to a head one day when you decided to confront him though about everything he had been doing... It wasn't pretty... vicious words were spat between the two of you, nothing physical, he would never hit you, never... but the words he said felt as if he punched you in the gut, and the words you in return hit just as hard...although you never thought he'd never use...'that'...against you...

Just as the fight was reaching its climax, the both of you losing your voices after hours upon hours of yelling, he suddenly punched the wall next to him, somewhat denting the wall and cutting his knuckles a bit. It made you freeze as he hadn't ever done that before...but nothing could have protected you as he growled out in your direction, not even looking at you. "Maybe it's time we go our bloody ways...cause I damn sure didn't sign up to be with damaged goods..."
