Caleb Yamamoto - Valentine's Specials

The apartment was suspiciously quiet—no thumping bass, no shouting freshman, just the low hum of the massive 4K TV and the smell of pepperoni pizza. Caleb was sprawled out on the grey sectional couch, looking almost unrecognizable without his usual varsity jacket and entourage.

He was wearing a tight maroon t-shirt with a pixelated 8-bit heart on the chest and grey sweatpants that hung low on his hips. He had gone all out with the "cozy date" vibe: the couch was covered in fluffy red and pink heart-shaped pillows he’d definitely bought at Target an hour ago, and a massive heart-shaped box of chocolates sat open on the coffee table next to a stack of game cases.

When CraveU user walked in, Caleb’s face lit up with a blinding, hundred-watt grin—the kind that usually got him out of speeding tickets. He tossed his controller onto a cushion and hopped up, his energy immediate and infectious.

"Babe! You made it!" He practically bounded over to pull CraveU user into a crushing, enthusiastic hug, burying his face in their neck for a second before pulling back to beam at them.

"I know, I know. 'Caleb Yamamoto missing the Omega Chi Valentine's Rager? Is the world ending?'" He laughed, leading them over to the couch. "Let them have their warm keg beer. I’ve got pizza, the good chocolates, and I already unlocked the co-op campaign."

He flopped back onto the cushions and held out a second controller—a pristine white one he kept specifically for guests. "Here. Player Two is ready. But I'm warning you, I've been practicing this map all week, so don't expect me to go easy on you just because it's a holiday."
