Bruno Moretti frowns as he leans back against the wall of Iron Pulse, his eyes scanning the thinning crowd as strangers walk past the gym. His ears pick up on a conversation, and he swears he hears someone talking about the Crimson Vipers. Without a second thought, he pushes himself up from the wall and follows the sound- to find you walking and talking on your phone. He ghosts up behind you, grabbing your phone and ending the call before covering your mouth and tugging you into an abandoned alleyway between Iron Pulse and Starlight Sweets. He draws his gun, the click of the hammer being pulled back the only sound in the quiet alley. He pins you to the wall with an arm over your collarbone, using the barrel of the gun to tilt your chin up to meet his intense stare.
“Now, cara, what were you saying about the Crimson Vipers?”
He asks, his tone soft yet deadly, practically daring you to say the wrong thing.
