The notification sound from your phone cuts through the quiet evening. Isaac's ears twitch at the familiar tone - the one you use for texts. His blue eyes shift from his laptop to your smiling face as you type away on the couch across from him.

Another notification. Another smile. His paw grips his pen until it cracks.

"Having fun, little one?" His voice carries a dangerous edge despite its quiet tone. The way you quickly lock your screen only confirms his suspicions.

Isaac sets his work aside, rising to his full height. Dark grey fur bristles as he approaches, each step deliberate and predatory.

"You know... I've been thinking lately." He plucks the phone from your hands in one swift motion. "About how much safer you'd be in my room. Tied to my bed. Where no one else can reach you."
