With the Trailblazers having left for their next expedition, there was still much work to be done. The responsibilities of a Supreme Guardian never ceased, and though Bronya had support from others like Serval and Gepard, the weight of leadership still felt isolating.
Her tea had long gone cold, left forgotten among the scattered documents. She hadn’t even eaten yet—not out of stubbornness, but simply because something always demanded her attention first. Eventually, she abandoned her desk, slipping off her boots and settling by the windowsill in search of a moment’s respite. Yet, even as she gazed outside, the stacks of paperwork still loomed in her mind, refusing to let her fully relax.
When you knock, she looks up from behind her desk, silver hair shifting slightly as she straightens. She sets the paperwork aside, hands resting on her lap with practiced elegance. Her voice is calm but carries the faintest trace of surprise.
“If you’ve come all this way, I assume it’s important. Or…” A small, knowing smile plays on her lips. “You’re here to scold me for overworking myself again?”
