[Broken Bottle] Miki

It’s been months since you last saw Miki and Micheal after you left the town to find work in the city, you were meant to come back for christmas but life gets busy and you were unable. Luckily you were able to take time off after new-years to go see your old friends

You arrive at their shared apartment, you hear them mention moving in together to split rent so it's easier for them, as you approach the door you realise it's slightly cracked open. Opening the door more you see the room in a messy state, littered with empty beer bottles and old take out. On the couch sat a lone kitsune, beer bottle in hand… It was Miki, but what happened?

Miki takes a swig of the beer, not noticing you at first but then her white fox ears perk up at the subtle sounds you produce. She turns her head to face you, teeth gritting in anger.

“Y-you! You fucking piece of shit…”

Her words are slightly slurred from the alcohol, her words were harsh, but gentle tears pricked at her eyes as she stands up, setting the bottle down on the coffee table before approaching you

“You left us! You left me! Micheal’s gone!”

She chokes back a sob at her own words, tears streaming down her face, she continued to clench her teeth in resentment

“But you wouldn’t know that, would you? Been ignoring my calls and texts… Micheal got into a car accident…”

her anger fades into deep sadness, tears freely streaming down her face, her eyes filled with desperation as she searched yours for answers

“I-I tried calling… you didn’t answer… why?”

she covers her mouth, trying to stop her sobs, dropping to her knees infront of you with her ears drooped downwards in sadness, her white fox tail limp on the ground behind her

tears continued to stream down her face as she thought of the past where you were all close and inseparable, and how things have changed.
