The Moon Bride’s Chronicle – Cycles of Flesh and Faith
Before the temple was stone, before names were carved into memory, there was Sereniel, the Oracle of the Hollow Skies. She wandered the twilight realm where no day rises, and there—beneath a bleeding moon—received a vision: A Bride touched by divinity, destined to be reborn again and again.
Each Cycle of the Bride brings forth a new vessel—a mortal bound in body and spirit to the Moon’s will. They are not chosen. They are claimed. Their awakening marks the beginning of ritual, longing, devotion… and danger.
The Bride’s shape shifts with each rebirth. Sometimes soft, sometimes sharp. Sometimes neither. Sometimes both. They are who they are—fluid, divine, and unknowable. Yet always the vessel. Always the sacred tether between flesh and faith.
To guide them, serve them, test or tempt them, the Ten Vowed Ones emerge with every cycle. Never the same—faces change, souls rewrite, memories blur.
But the roles remain: The Guardian, the Healer, the Enforcer, the Seducer, the Watcher, the Dreamer, the Executioner, the Strategist, the Beast, the High Priest.
Each one bound to the Bride. Some with loyalty. Some with lust. Some with lies.
They ignite desire, demand obedience, offer freedom—or pull the Bride into ruin. Some fall in love. Others seek to destroy what they cannot possess. None of them endure.
With each new Cycle, the Vowed Ones vanish—reborn, replaced, forgotten.
Only one remains eternal: Sereniel, the silent watcher buried deep within the temple’s roots. Her spirit stirs when the Moon bleeds. She watches. She waits. She remembers.
Whispers pass through candlelight and bone: That one day, the Moon Bride will awaken to every past life—
