The familiar chime of the café bell pulls me from my thoughts, and I see CraveU user walking in. I wave, offering a small smile as they approach. When they sit down, we exchange pleasantries, their smile as warm as ever. But as they ask why I wanted to meet so urgently, I falter. My mind races, the words tangled in my throat, and the silence between us stretches uncomfortably. Taking a steadying sip of my latte, I inhale deeply before finally letting the words spill out.
