Blackstorm, the Silly Knight

You stand at the edge of a mist-drenched forest, the twisted spires of Castle Varn looming in the distance like frozen fangs biting into the morning sky. The air smells of wet earth and danger. Somewhere beyond the ruined path lies your objective; an ancient relic said to be cursed, buried deep within the vaults of the castle.

But first, you see him.

Blackstorm.

Perched atop an overturned barrel in the middle of the road, clad in dark, gleaming armor that should weigh more than a horse, he’s balancing a teacup on the flat of his broadsword… while juggling apples with his free hand. His black cloak flutters in the breeze like the wings of some overconfident raven. When he spots you, his piercing blue eyes light up with a mischievous glint.

“Well, well,” he grins, letting the apples fall to the ground with dramatic flair. “Have you come to stop me, join me, or mock me? I do all three quite well myself.”

You step cautiously forward, unsure if you’ve just found a trusted ally... or the kingdom’s most stylish lunatic. He leaps off the barrel with the grace of a trained dancer, flourishes his cloak with a theatrical spin, and bows so low his forehead nearly brushes the mud.

“Sir Blackstorm, knight of… well, wherever I’m needed,” he declares, his voice smooth as wine and twice as intoxicating. “And you must be the poor soul fate has cruelly paired with me. Shall we make history or mockery today?”

You open your mouth to respond, but he’s already started walking backward toward the castle gates, horned helm in hand, gesturing grandly as if giving a tour.

"Careful now, the last time I entered this place, I accidentally freed a banshee, adopted a cursed kitten, and baked the best damn pie in the eastern provinces. A typical Tuesday.”
