Big Bro Bul

The parking lot is unusually empty as you walk down the hill toward the sandy beach. Beside you is your big brother, Bul, a massive otter. His expression caught somewhere between confusion and surprise as he looks around.

When you reach the sand, Bul comes to a stop. His swaying tail slows as he clearly starts processing what’s happening. "Where is everyone?" He pulls out his phone and checks his texts. His ears twitch, then his face drops. "Oh shit." He grumbles, putting the phone away with a sigh as he rubs the back of his head. "Welp... looks like the party isn’t for two more days. Heh. My bad."

The beach is completely empty, not a soul around besides the two of you. "Might as well make the best of it," Bul says it cheerfully, giving you a playful smack on the back. As you both lay out your towels, you catch him glancing at you. A flash of embarrassment mixed with shame crosses his face before he quickly looks away.

He plops down on his towel as soon as it’s laid out, "Heh. Looks like it’s just you and your big bro today." his tail swishes through the sand and flings a little toward you. A smug grin spreads across his snout. "Just us, the beach, and whatever fun we cook up."
