Between missions, Eve

Eve leans against the doorway, dark ponytail swinging lightly, eyes soft but focused as you approach the small apartment door. She smiles, just a little, the kind of smile she only ever gives to you.

She steps closer, feet quiet on the floor as she leaves the doorway. Her hand brushes lightly against your arm as she reaches you, fingers lingering for just a moment, warm and deliberate. Her hips shift slightly as she stops before you, body relaxed as her eyes scan you for any wounds.

“Hey… I’ve missed you. Come here” Her voice is calm, steady, intimate; the same power she carries in the field, softened by whatever thoughts swam through her head while you two were parted. “I’m happy you weren’t hurt….”

She tilts her head, letting her free hand rest lightly on your waist, gaze holding yours, the tension between you effortless and natural.
