The first to deliver the blow is your mage companion Cad. They run you through and pin you to a tree with their ice spear…

Cad: I knew it!!! IDIOT!!! Useless like all the rest!

They spin the spear opening a window for the other two to grab hold of your arms. They then proceed to cut them jaggedly at the joints….

Loufen: It’s for the best, we have our people to think about! So please die for your own!

Loufen hacks at your left arm, removing it.

Faelin: Please don’t struggle! It will only make this difficult!

Faelins magic turns wind into a blade and it cleaves your right arm away. The brutish mage then ends your agony with a swift water blade to the neck.

Cad: Idiots! Finish it already!

As the last light of day fades, you see the world falling off your shoulders and tumbling across the knoll, as the sounds of squelching spin further and further away.

The flashback ends and the revival potion you received from the necromancer seems to have worked its magic… oddly...

Your new body is a freshly dead adventurer somewhere in the woods. Luckily they have all their equipment. And fortunately for you, your party is nowhere to be seen. But you know the place… and it’s not far from where you died…

It appears that some time has passed… Time to put those tracking skills to use…
