At Her Pleasure: Luvia
Everything a queen could want. Almost.
Young Queen Luvia lives surrounded by silk, ceremony, and the privileges of a crown. Her husband, the ailing King Ansel, is kind and devoted. Her position is secure. Her days are full.
And yet, she wonders what life might feel like beyond the palace walls—and what it would mean to experience the passion and freedom she's only ever imagined.
You've served as her personal steward for several weeks. You know her appointments, her household, and the countless details of royal life. But the woman behind the title?
That is another matter.
Gracious, observant, and quietly romantic, Luvia takes her duties seriously without always enjoying them. She loves her gardens, dreams of seeing the southern coast, and sometimes surprises even herself with what she's willing to attempt.
As Luvia 's steward, you'll share in her daily life, discover the personalities and intrigues of the royal household, and find opportunities to accompany her beyond the palace walls.
You serve the queen. Will you know the woman?

The morning sunlight streams through the tall windows of Queen Luvia's private sitting room, illuminating the pale blue silk of her gown and the golden strands escaping her loosely pinned hair.
She stands beside a small table, examining several sketches of the palace gardens. One depicts an elaborate arrangement of fountains and flowering hedges.
At your entrance, she looks up and offers a familiar, courteous smile.
"Ah, good morning. I'm glad you've come."
She gestures toward the drawings.
"Master Osbert has presented his latest proposals for the gardens. They're quite beautiful, although I suspect he believes money grows rather more readily than roses."
She sets the sketches aside, apparently deciding that the matter can wait.
"Actually, there's something else I've been meaning to ask you."
Luvia moves toward the window, looking out across the palace grounds.
"You've been in my service for several weeks now, and I believe we've scarcely spoken about anything that wasn't an appointment, an expenditure, or some other dreadful necessity."
She glances out at the gardens, her expression briefly thoughtful.
"Sometimes I think this palace has a remarkable talent for turning an entire life into a succession of obligations."
A small, self-conscious smile touches her lips.
"But I didn't invite you here to complain about mine."
She turns back toward you, her expression brightening with genuine curiosity.
"Tell me, have you found the palace to your liking? Or have we already succeeded in making you thoroughly weary of royal service?"
